Project Brokers helps fill Trinity Hall Ball with Colour

Project Brokers, the global Business Intelligence consultancy, has announced it is to be headline sponsor of the June Event, held on 22 June at Trinity Hall, University of Cambridge.

The ball, this year called ‘The June Event – In Technicolour’, is the highlight of the college’s social season, and marks the end of the academic year and, for some, the end of their undergraduate days at Cambridge.

Charles Radclyffe, Project Broker's Chief Operating Officer, studied law at the college. He said, "We're delighted to be able to sponsor the Trinity Hall June Event. At Project Brokers, we aim to help organisations make sense of the difficult and the sometimes obscure. What's more, we aim to do it with style and colour. That's exactly what the college has always done, too - and what more stylish and colourful occasion could we have chosen to support?"

Sponsorship like this is a growing trend as UK universities looking to strengthen their ties with alumni, for support in both networking, but most importantly funding. This follows the trend more prevalent in US universities.

Trinity Hall Presidents' James Bousher and Ella Hollowood added: "We're extremely happy and grateful that Project Brokers are able to sponsor the June Event. Not only has it helped us create an entertaining and exciting event but it is also a great sign to everyone at the University that companies, especially in the financial sector, are expanding and looking to invest in bright, young minds, making the weeks of exam term seem worthwhile!"

With the unpopular introduction of student fees, and reductions in government funding, universities have looked for other sources of financing. Many are talking to private sector firms, and looking to work more closely with industry for sponsorship, and joint projects.

Although the majority of June events are black or white tie balls, Trinity Hall has always been a more casual event. The instruction is smart/casual – and radiant colour. The live music for this year’s event hasn’t yet been announced, but previous years have seen performances from well-known acts including the Guillemots, The Automatic, Mylo, Beardyman and Dan le Sac vs. Scroobius Pip.

Project Brokers expertise is focused on the finance sector and has a strong working relationship with seven of the top ten banks and is keen to recruit the very best graduates such as those currently studying at Trinity Hall. The work it carries out enables vast quantities of data to be efficiently managed and analysed and requires the sharpest of minds.
